ELENA ZERVOUDAKIS*

"I believe that architecture is about people, not buildings."

Elena Zervoudakis studied Architecture in Paris (UP1 Paris-Villemin), specializing in cultural buildings and events. She later completed her diploma in Advanced Studies in Landscape Architecture (DEA, École d’Architecture de Paris-La Villette – UP8). She took her first professional steps in Paris, where she gained experience at Rena Duma’s interior architecture agency and the Fabre-Perrotet office, working on theater architecture.

Elena shaped a design approach that combines conceptual clarity with Mediterranean spatial and material wisdom. Her practice is guided by design integrity and a poetic sensibility that bring meaning and joy to everyday life.

In 1994, she founded Z-LEVEL Architecture, driven by a desire to create spaces that truly matter, places that are functional, innovative, sustainable and full of character. Over the years, she has engaged in numerous projects, designing landscape and cultural spaces in collaboration with institutions, organizations and museums on social and cultural initiatives.

Multiple distinctions have been attributed to the firm's work, including the DOMES Awards, Piranesi Award and East Centric Arhitext, and has been widely exhibited and published internationally.
